Free-parking Reykjavik options

Icelandair Reykjavik Natura (ISK 31933), Fosshotel Reykjavik (ISK 29477) and Grand Hotel Reykjavik (ISK 28249) all have free lots and are a 10-15 minute walk or short bus ride from downtown. In Kopavogur, the Courtyard by Marriott (ISK 24564) and Storm Hotel (ISK 23336) both have big free lots. Skip anywhere on Laugavegur or Skolavordustigur unless you don’t have a car — hotel parking downtown is either paid (ISK 3071-ISK 4299) or genuinely absent.

Outside the capital

Every rural hotel in Iceland has free parking; it's not worth ranking. But the ones with the best-lit, plough-cleared winter lots are Hotel Ranga, Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, Sel-Hotel Myvatn and Icelandair Vik. If you’re renting a big 4x4 and worried about tight lots, avoid old-town guesthouses in Isafjordur and Seydisfjordur — parking is street-side and often 200m away.
