Fosshotel Reykjavik (ISK 29477) does interconnecting rooms and is next to a Bonus supermarket for snack raids. In Kopavogur, the Courtyard by Marriott (ISK 24564) is 400m from Salalaug — the best family pool in the capital area, with three slides and a heated toddler section for ISK 983 entry.

Hotel Husafell (ISK 51584) has a kids' pool alongside the adult tubs and lends out sledges in winter. Fosshotel Myvatn (ISK 29477) is walking distance to the Nature Baths — kinder on toddler feet than the Blue Lagoon. Icelandair Vik (ISK 27020) has family suites and the black beach 5 minutes away, but keep hands held: the sneaker waves are lethal, not a marketing line.
