The Retreat at Blue Lagoon (ISK 171948+) is the only true five-star adults-only in Iceland — private lagoon access, subterranean spa, no children on property. Silica Hotel (ISK 79833) allows kids but rarely sees them; the vibe is honeymoon. Deplar Farm in Fljot (ISK 368460 all-in) technically permits families but is booked out by couples and heli-ski groups nine months of the year.
Realistic price points
Torfhus Retreat near Selfoss (ISK 58954) does turf-roof suites with private hot tubs and enforces a 16-plus policy in the spa wing. Hotel Budir on Snaefellsnes (ISK 42987) is a black wooden church-side hotel where the fireplace and 4-course dinner make bringing kids feel wrong. Ion Adventure Hotel (ISK 46672) isn’t officially adults-only but has no cots, no kids' menu and a bar that runs late.
